THE team behind the development of the Tritton copper mine in New South Wales is making a comeback through Toodyay Resources Ltd, which is planning to acquire a new copper project. Former Tritton Resources Ltd executives Mick McMullen, Tom Duckworth and Declan Franzmann have teamed up with former Gallery Gold Ltd managing director Hamish Bohannan to develop the Bushranger project, located south of Oberon in NSW. Toodyay will issue 359 million shares, worth $9 million, to acquire Ord Investments Pty Ltd, which is owned by the four men named above. Ord has an agreement to acquire the copper project from Straits Resources Ltd, which last year moved to full ownership of Tritton Resources Ltd. The deal is conditional on Toodyay raising $1.25 million by issuing 50 million shares to Euroz Securities Ltd, Stripe Capital and Straits Resources Ltd. The placement will be used to fund the company’s exploration capital and working capital. The Bushranger deposit is located near the North Parkes, Lake Cowal, Cadia and Ridgeway copper and gold deposits. Mr McMullen was a founder of Tritton Resources Ltd and has been working for the past 18 months as manager of audits for minerals consulting firm RSG Global. Mr Franzmann is a mining engineer with more than 15 years’ experience. Mark Beyer
