What is your favourite holiday destination and why?
Kauai (Hawaii), where Nancy and I were married. It is a great place with phenomenal scenery and weather.
What is your favourite place in WA to take a short break and why?
Cape Lodge. Great grounds and in the middle of Margaret River area.
What do you think is the best destination to holiday if you have to/want to take the kids and why?
My son, his wife and my wife love to ski in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
What has been your biggest travel disaster and what did you learn from it?
I have had so many of them, I could write a book on it.
What is your pet hate when travelling on airplanes?
Nothing in particular. You learn to go with the flow.
If you could only take one item on a long haul flight what would it be?
Water.
How often do you take a holiday?
Not often enough!
You wish Perth could be more like …….. because………
I don’t know what heaven is like but I hope it is like Perth.

Its isolation, because it makes it special.
Where have you always wanted to travel/holiday but haven’t managed to yet? When do you hope to go there?
South Pole because it is the only continent I haven’t been to. I almost got there last year but will get there eventually.

I finally got around to reading The World is Flat.

Red Hot Chili Peppers.
What is your favourite overseas restaurant?
The Bel-Air Hotel, Los Angeles.
What WA/Perth restaurant do you keep going back to?
Star Anise...greatest aesthetics, great food and fantastic owners.
