A SOUTH West Transport Advisory Group has been established by the South West Development Commission Board to review progress towards providing better transport links to the region.
South West Development Commission CEO Don Punch said the purpose of the group was to check outcomes from the Southern Province Transport Strategy and to reassess transport priorities in the region.
The group will also provide a forum to set transport directions and any action needed to meet the transport requirements of the region as identified in the strategy.
“The SWTAG’s membership will include nominees of the SWDC Board, representatives from the Department of Transport, Main Roads WA, Bunbury Port Authority, local government and the Department of Commerce and Trade,” Mr Punch said.
