Transport Infrastructure Conference
On Monday September 1 and Tuesday September 2, IBC Conferences in conjunction with Lloyd’s List DCN is holding the 2003 WA Transport Infrastructure Conference, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.
The theme of this years conference is Assessing the Transport Challenge in WA: Solutions for a Balanced Transport Network and it will cover topics such as, assessing the steps to creating an integrated balanced transport approach in WA; evaluating the Perth to Mandurah Railway case study and the impact it will have on urban transport systems; how AusLink will deliver results for WA; and ascertaining the relationship between transport, infrastructure and industry in WA and the influence on the state’s future.
Keynote speakers for the conference include Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, the Honourable Alannah MacTiernan, who will give a ministerial address on planning, policy and changes in WA’s transport infrastructure; WA Local Government Association, executive manager transport and roads, Debbie Terelinck, who will speak on sharing the regional road network; WA Port Operations Taskforce, chairman, Bob Pearce, who will talk about the WA road-rail transport infrastructure challenge; and Thiess Pty Ltd, WA Civil Manager, Mal Stewart, who will provide an engineering perspective on transport.
