Top rebate

LOCAL company Solar Energy Systems has welcomed a $3.5 million renewable energy water pumping rebate scheme.

Devised by the WA and Federal Governments, the scheme is applicable to communities and businesses in regions not served by an electricity grid, and will cover up to half the initial capital cost of the renewable energy component of medium and larger-sized pumps.

Solar Energy Systems lobbied the Federal Government to include water pumping applications in the Renewable Remote Power Generation Program.

The scheme continues until June 2005.
