TWO prime sites are up for sale in Henderson, including the landmark pub The Ship and Dock Inn, and the former Eagle Aircraft property.
The Henderson Commercial Centre and the former Eagle Aircraft property on Quill Way overlook Jervoise Bay and will remain important sites after completion of the $200 million Jervoise Bay development.
The former Eagle Aircraft property consists of a 10,000-square metre office workshop based on 3.15ha of land.
FPDSavills selling agent Max Jones said the property represented a rare opportunity to obtain a building of this size in Henderson that still had potential for expansion.
Eagle Aircraft’s 500sqm hangar, positioned on the runway apron at Jandakot Airport, also is for sale
The Henderson Commercial Centre, the only commercially zoned property in the area, is suited to an array of uses including office space, retail, accommodation, a service station and the Ship and Dock Inn.
The asking price for the commercial centre is $2.49 million and it’s being sold by private treaty.
FPDSavills manager of industrial sales and leasing, Simon Hinton, said the complex already was netting more than $115,000 a year not including revenue from the tavern, service station and accommodation, as they presently were owner-operated.
Mr Hinton claimed the long-term revenue from the property was intrinsically linked to the success of Henderson’s Jervoise Bay Marine Industrial Complex.
“$200 million is being spent to create a world-class fabrication, assembly and maintenance facility that will provide services to the oil and gas industry on a global scale and plans are in place for a marine industry technology park and skills centre,” Mr Hinton said.
AUSTRALAND has acquired land in Forrestfield’s Access Park for $1.65 million.
The 22,436 square metre site has been purchased by Australand commercial and industrial division for the development of a new 7000sqm transport facility for a major national tenant.
Colliers International director of industrial sales and leasing Craig Robertson said this was the first substantial parcel of industrial land sold in the Kewdale Forrestfield location in the past six months.
