Tomlinson North West Resources Tour

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s North West Resources Tour, to be held from May 22 to 27, provides a rare opportunity to see first-hand some of WA’s major resources development projects. The region hosts over 520 commercial mineral projects, embracing 1055 operating mine sites plus 169 processing plants with 50 different minerals in commercial production. CCI chief executive John Langoulant will host this year’s tour, commencing at Perth. Sites visited on the tour include: • Argyle Diamond Mine; • BHP Billiton - Area C and Whaleback Mine; • Chevron Australia - Barrow Island; • Dampier Salt – Karratha; • Hamersley Iron - Dampier Peninsula; • Newcrest Mining - Telfer Goldmine; • CJ Ord River Sugar – Kununurra; • Pilbara Rail Project - Dampier Operations; and • Woodside Petroleum - Burrup Peninsula.
