Former ABC journalist and Santos executive Tom Baddeley will replace the late Russell Woolf as ABC Radio Perth’s breakfast presenter.

Mr Baddeley was with the ABC as a newsreader and reporter for seven years between 1998 and 2005 prior to his newly announced position.

Most recently, however, he was Santos's government and community relations manager for Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Mr Baddeley has held a variety of roles during his career, including media manager for the Western Force and directorship positions with the Committee for Economic Development of Australia and the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association.

Prior to this, he was a journalist at Channel 9 and The West Australian.

Mr Baddeley will present the breakfast show from February 7.

He replaces Russell Woolf, who passed away unexpectedly in October last year.
