A subsidiary of Thrifty WA has won a two-year contract to supply 37 light vehicles to gold miner Silver Lake Resources.

The contract’s value is undisclosed.

AUS Fleet Leasing, which is part of the family owned Thrifty WA franchise, will supply the vehicles for use at Silver Lake’s Mount Monger mine outside of Kalgoorlie.

The contract, which was competitively bid for, is the biggest deal signed by AUS Fleet Leasing in the Goldfields area to date.

AUS Fleet Solutions general manager Graham Hampson said the contract also included maintenance services through Thrifty WA’s AUS Mechanical Services located in Kalgoorlie

“Preventative maintenance was a key factor in our success for the tender,” he said.

Thrifty WA, which is headquartered in Bassendean, has more than 3,500 passenger, four-wheel drive vehicles, utes, buses and trucks and a branch network of 17 locations across the state.

Silver Lake Resources shares were up 3 per cent at 1.25pm WST to 17 cents.
