The future of competition policy in Australia

The John Curtin Institute of Public Policy is holding a public policy forum breakfast on competition policy, September 11 at the Hyatt Regency. Guest speaker for the event, Professor Allan Fels AO, dean of the Australia and New Zealand School of Government, will discuss the correct balance to seek in competition policy. He will in particular address issues relating to topics such as: court enforcement versus education; prohibiting anticompetitive mergers; and giving third parties access to infrastructure facilities without deterring investment and efficiency. Registration for this event costs $44 for WA universities staff and alumni and $60 for the general public. For more information contact The John Curtin Institute on 9266 1111.
