The Australian Institute of Energy is hosting a luncheon presentation at Fraser’s Restaurant on Friday June 3 from 1.00 pm. Grange Securities research director Stephen Roberts is the guest speaker and will speak on the global economic outlook.
The presentation will look at whether 2005 and 2006 can build on extraordinarily strong global economic growth in 2004. Turning to Australia, Mr Roberts will also look at why the softer patch in the local economy in late 2004 and early 2005 is likely to prove transitory. He will discuss potential commodity price movements, including energy, and what they imply for incomes in Australia. Also up for discussion will be the outlook for inflation, Australian interest rates and the Australian dollar.
Stephen Roberts has more than 30 years of experience as an economist and financial market strategist in banking, broking and funds management. He joined Grange Securities in late 2003 after four years with Westpac Investment Management/Sagitta/BT.
Tickets to the luncheon are $45 for AIE members, $65 for non-members, or $460 for a table of eight. For more information, phone (08) 9420 5600 or e-mail perth@aie.org.au.
