The Architect of Genius
The Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (WA) in conjunction with Curtin University of Technology, Zernike Australia and Entrepreneurs in Residence is conducting a luncheon titled The Architect of Genius: Driving Sustainable Change By Unleashing The Extraordinary In The Ordinary on Wednesday September 10, at the Burswood Convention Centre.
The Luncheon will feature RMIT University Centre for Excellence in Digital Design director Di Fleming who will speak about how the strength of all organisations lies in finding the extraordinary in the ordinary by creating a culture where people can improvise and innovate for both personal and organisational advantage.

Waste & Recycle 2003 Conference
On Tuesday September 9 to Friday September 12 Keynote Conferences in conjunction with the WA Local Government Association and the Department of Environment is conducting a conference titled Waste and Recycle 2003 Conference: Sustainable Outcomes – Making It Happen, at the Sheraton Hotel.
The conference will focus on the theme of Sustainable Outcomes – Making It Happen and will explore areas such as resource recovery; producer responsibility; landfill management; strategy/policy; media engagement; community engagement and contaminated sites.
Keynote speakers for the conference include M-co executive director Ken Chapman, who will speak about applying the market based instruments to sustainable resource management; Ministry of Water, Land and Air Protection British Columbia, Canada Environmental Management Branch director Eric Partridge, who will talk about waste management – outcome based environmental management; Victorian Environmental Protection Agency deputy chairman Rob Joy, who will discuss waste management in Australia – the national agenda; and Butt Littering Trust chairman Graham Richardson, who will speak about the art of effective public policy.
