On Wednesday March 23 the Graduate School of Management at UWA, in conjunction with The Western Australian Club, will host a breakfast seminar – The Androgynous Leader – at The WA Club.
The seminar will be presented by Graduate School of Management associate professor Nick Forster, and will cover literature that has emerged in management and business studies over the last forty years that has attempted to identify qualities, attributes and characteristics of effective and successful business leaders.
Research has indicated that there are fundamental differences in the habitual leadership and management styles of men and women, and this presentation will suggest it is time to move beyond this debate.
Professor Forster will discuss the emergence of ‘Androgynous Leadership’, a style of leadership/management that not only transcends deeply ingrained archetypes of masculinity and femininity but is also better suited to the fast-changing, uncertain and complex world of today.
Registrations for the event can be made to The WA Club for $40 for members and $45 for non members.
