Perth-based real estate firm The Agency Group is set to strengthen its east coast presence, after becoming an official partner of the Hawthorn Football Club.

In a statement on Friday, Hawthorn said The Agency would become both the club’s official real estate partner and recruiting team sponsor, with The Agency branding to appear on the Hawks’ recruiting team apparel.

The partnership is expected to broaden The Agency’s services within the Victorian real estate market.

Recently appointed chief executive Geoff Lucas said Hawthorn, which boasts more than 70,000 members, was an elite club renowned for its high performance and professionalism.

“This resonates strongly with our brand, which has brought together top real estate professionals from around this country,” Mr Lucas said.

“But beyond the club’s obvious success, it is Hawthorn’s commitment to their local community that created such a strong alignment between our organisations.

“The Agency team is here to help the entire Hawthorn family – its players, management and their 70,000 plus membership base, with any property advice or guidance they require.”

Hawthorn chief executive Justin Reeves said there was a clear synergy between the two organisations.

“The Agency is an organisation highly driven by there values, which is something Hawthorn also prides itself on,” Mr Reeves said.

“Adding another high-quality brand as a partner of the Hawthorn family is a milestone to celebrate.”

The partnership comes one day after The Agency reported a 39 per cent annual increase in revenue, from $10.8 million to $15 million, in its March quarter results.

The group also achieved $1.2 billion worth of sales during the quarter, compared with $748 million the same time last year.

Shares in The Agency were trading 2.7 per cent lower at 2:10pm AEDT to $7.2 cents.
