Jenny Allen has been appointed as the chief executive of The 500 Club.

Ms Allen was most recently the chief executive officer of Youth Focus for over 15 years before leaving the helm in December 2015.

Under her watch Youth Focus grew from an office of three staff with a budget of $240,000, to 51 staff and a budget of $7 million.

In the course of her work with Youth Focus, she was the only Western Australian on the board of Suicide Prevention Australia, the national peak body for suicide prevention, as well as sitting on the board of the Ministerial Council of Suicide Prevention in WA.

Ms Allen replaces Leanne Drewitt, who had served as 500 Club chief executive since Margaret Coulthard retired in February last year.
