Telstra has recently announced the opening of registrations for the 2003 Telstra Western Australian Small Business Awards, inviting Western Australian small businesses to take up the challenge to enter the Awards and share in the many opportunities the program affords. Since its inception in 1992, the annual program has provided hundreds of small businesses with the opportunity to gain national recognition for their work, develop new business relationships, reward hard working staff, as well as share in a national prize pool of $326,000. This year
’s Awards are open to all Australian small businesses which meet the entry criteria in the following categories; Commonwealth Government Micro-Business Award (Open to businesses with five employees or fewer); MYOB Business Award (Open to businesses with more than five employees but less than or equal to 20 employees); Panasonic Australia Business Award (Open to businesses with more than 20 employees but less than or equal to 50 employees); Cisco Systems Business Award (Open to businesses with more than 50 employees but less than or equal to 100 employees). The winners of the Telstra Western Australian Small Business Awards will be announced at a presentation on July 18 2003 at the Hyatt Regency. The Telstra Western Australian Small Business of the Year then becomes eligible to win the 2003 Telstra Australian Small Business of the Year Award at the national awards ceremony to be held in Melbourne on August 15 2003. State category winners also go on to become finalists at the national awards and are eligible to be honoured as the national winner in that category. Registrations for the Awards close on March 3 2003.
