Over Wednesday March 16 to Saturday March 19 the Tax Institute of Australia will hold its 20th national convention – Tax Unmasked – at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The convention will consist of over 25 education sessions across three technical streams – consolidate your knowledge, managing tax risks, and corporate issues. Topics will cater for many areas and levels of knowledge and sessions will represent the high spot issues of the day.
Speakers at the conference will include Australian commissioner of taxation Michael Carmody, Ernst & Young international tax solutions group head Alf Capito, University of Sydney professor of taxation law Graeme Cooper, Australian Taxation Office second commissioner and chief tax counsel Michael D’Ascenzo, ATAX director and UNSW professor of taxation Chris Evans, KPMG director David Kuhne, Horwath WA director Peter Moltoni, and UWA associate professor in law Glen Barton.
Australian business expert Peter Switzer will also conduct a ‘Realistical’, involving a panel of respected tax professionals and social commentator Tim Costello, focusing on tax issues from a practical and social viewpoint.
Registrations for the convention can be made to the Tax Institute of Australia from $285 to $385 for single day registration and $1500 to $1750 for full conference registration.
