Tap tightened on deals

LISTED Western Australia-based irrigation supply and service company Hugall & Hoile has tied up key distributor agreements with Rain Bird International and pump manufacturer ITT Flygt.

The company has also been appointed national exclusive distributor for Olex Irrigation Cable and national distributor for Nutri-Gro organic fertilisers, insecticides and wetting agents.

Hugall & Hoile managing director Dave Nicholls said Nutri-Gro was an organic product that had been developed in Australia and was looked upon in the turf industry as a safe way to develop quality, trouble-free turf.

In July the company announced that its unaudited net profit before tax for the year ending June 30 was materially greater than the year ending June 2002.

In May Hugall & Hoile announced that sales for the nine months ending March 31 were up 39.6 per cent on the same period in the previous year.

Unaudited group net profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for the nine months ending March 31 was $2,944,512.
