Perth-based telecommunications provider Swift Networks has secured multi-year contracts at three Western Australian lithium mine sites.

Swift announced new deals with Pilbara Minerals, Talison Lithium and Altura Mining to provide telco services and entertainment content to up to 825 end users for the next three years.

Swift will upgrade Pilbara’s digital entertainment and connectivity services at its Pilgangoora camp and provide entertainment content to Talison and Altura.

Swift chief executive Xavier Kris said the contracts with WA miners were significant.

“We are delighted to support these globally significant miners’ staff by keeping them entertained, informed and in touch with home through the Swift system,” he said

“Our long record of accomplishment in multiple resources contexts is ensuring that Swift is front of mind for the companies driving the next phase of growth in Australian mining.

“Swift’s momentum in attracting marquee clients is reinforcing its leadership in mine-site communications at a time when the company’s prospects in aged care, retirement, hospitality and student accommodation are increasingly attractive.”

Shares in Swift were up 10.6 per cent at 47 cents today.
