Sundance appoints three executives

IRON ore company Sundance Resources has appointed three mining executives to its board and has since moved to accelerate a pre-feasibility study on the development of its Mbalam Iron Ore project in west Africa. George Jones has been appointed non-executive chairman, having previously held the position of chairman at Portman Mining Ltd. Mr Jones is currently executive chairman of Gindalbie Metals Ltd. Don Lewis will become managing director, having previously held the equivalent position at Multiplex Engineering, and will also perform the role of chief executive. Dr John Saunders (bottom) has been appointed non-executive director and will bring international experience in project and infrastructure development to the role. Stephen Dobson will resign as a director.
