Streeter leaves Western Areas

Terry Streeter has resigned from the board of nickel miner Western Areas.

Mr Streeter has been chairman of Western Areas for the last 13 years, steering the company through its $5 million initial public offering in 2000 to become a significant producer with two operating mines in Western Australia.

The company has unanimously appointed Ian Macliver (pictured) as non-executive chairman.

Mr Macliver has been a non-executive director of Western Areas since 2011.

He is managing director of Grange Consulting.
