State govt awards $23m of construction contracts

FIRM Construction and McCorkell Constructions have secured school contracts, while Broad Construction and Devlyn Constructions will undertake works for government departments, amid $23 million of new deals announced over the past fortnight.

FIRM won an $8.1 million contract to undertake additions and alterations to the Moora Residential College.

It beat out one other submission to secure the two-year contract.

McCorkell came out ahead of eight other submissions to be awarded a $4.2 million contract to complete the main construction works of the Ocean Reef Senior High School Performing Arts Centre.

The works will run until May next year.

Broad was selected for the south campus fitout works at the Fremantle government office accommodation.

It beat 13 other submissions to win the $6.15 million contract, which will expire in May next year.

Devlyn will construct the heating and cooling and air conditioning systems for the Western Australia Police Force at its Warburton, Warakuma, Blackstone stations in the Goldfields/Esperance region.

The company was selected over two other submissions for the $4.9 million two-year contract.
