Sphere to explore West Africa

SPHERE Investments has expanded its resource portfolio in West Africa, adding four gold and base metals exploration licences to its primary Guelb el Aouj iron ore project in Mauritania and other exploration licences in the region. According to Sphere, the 5,881 square kilometre area is relatively under-explored, given its favourable geological setting. The Guelb el Aouj project is currently in the second stage of a three-part bankable feasibility study. Sphere has completed more than 12,000 metres of drilling on the project in its current drilling program, with results expected for release in July and October.
