THE Australia Business Arts Foundation (WA chapter) has appointed Gerard Daniels Group chief executive, Lloyd Smith (left), as a volunteer councillor. Mr Smith will join a blue-chip group of business leaders including the chief executives of Wesfarmers, Alcoa, BankWest, Mirvac Fini and Hawaiian, who as councillors promote the benefits of private sector support for the arts. Gerard Daniels’ staff have been engaged with AbaF through AdviceBank, the business volunteering program run by AbaF and supported nationally by KPMG. Currently, staff members are working on strategic planning with STRUT dance and business planning for craft and design artists in FORM’s Designing Futures program.
