Next week, however, 26 companies at the junior end of the market have been given the chance to sell their slice of the action to more than 100 of these smaller shareholders.
The smaller investors, who would not choose to spend hundreds of dollars to attend such events, will be mixing it with the bankers, brokers, suppliers and joint venture partners normally to be seen at a mining and exploration investment conference.
The guests of the presenting companies, who have been given passes to distribute to those on their own registry lists, these shareholders will hear of other potentially satisfying investments in projects across a range of resource sectors.
