Single mine safety framework

A DISCUSSION paper about how the proposed National Mine Safety Framework could be effectively implemented has been released for public comment.

A national mine safety framework is a joint industry government program that began in 1998.

Copies of the NMSF discussion paper entitled National Mine Safety Implementation Safety Plan can be downloaded from www.ga.gov.au/ccim> along with instructions for registering any feedback.

The closing date for submissions is February 27.

Cultural tourism plan comment call

INPUT is sought on a Western Australian Government plan to promote the State as an artistic and culturally rich destination.

The Department of Culture and the Arts and the WA Tourism Commission will jointly develop and implement a cultural tourism strategy that incorporates feedback from the consultation process.

Copies of the draft strategy are available from www.tourism.wa.gov.au or www.dca.wa.gov.au.

The deadline for public submissions is December 31
