CAZALY Resources Ltd has launched its appeal in the Supreme Court of WA over former resources minister John Bowler’s decision to terminate the junior explorer’s claim over the Shovelanna iron ore tenement, and return it to mining giant Rio Tinto. The court found last week that there was no evidence of Premier Alan Carpenter and Rio Tinto executive director Leigh Clifford having discussed the Shovelanna iron ore tenement before it was handed back to the major miner.
