MARKETFORCE strategic planning director Debra Shorter (pictured) has left the advertising company to take up a position as general manager business development and marketing for long-time client, LandCorp.
Ms Shorter built and operated advertising company The Shorter Group with her husband, Bruce, for about 20 years before the company merged into Marketforce about three years ago.
Mr Shorter resigned from Marketforce last year, and according to Ms Shorter, is happily enjoying his retirement.
Ms Shorter said her new role at LandCorp would start on February 1.
The newly created role was filled by a consultant while LandCorp recruited for the position.
“It’s going to be a big challenge,” Ms Shorter said.
“I’ve worked for LandCorp for about five years on their marketing strategy, which has included big projects like the Mandurah Marina and Harvest Lakes, so there is a lot I do know but I’m sure they’ll be plenty I don’t.”
