WA company ShieldLiner Ltd has announced the establishment of a specialist trenchless technology contracting company to undertake its commercial activities in Australia and New Zealand. The new company, Premium Pipe Services Pty Ltd, will utilise ShieldLiner's unique pipe relining and rehabilitation technologies to meet a market need for a major full service trenchless technology contractor. ShieldLiner will hold a one third equity interest in Premium Pipe Services and National Power Services Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Alinta Ltd and a significant shareholder in ShieldLiner, will also retain a one third interest. The consideration for ShieldLiner's equity interest was the grant of a license to use the ShieldLiner technology in Australia and New Zealand, while National Power Services agreed to pay $400,000 for its share. The remaining one third stake will be held by the family interests of Mr Trevor Gosatti. Mr Gosatti's family business interests have provided Premium Pipe Services with existing closed-circuit pipe inspection and pipe cleaning equipment, and other plant and equipment to assist the new business commence operations. ShieldLiner believe the establishment of Premium Pipe Services with two experienced and complementary partners will enable it to handle a range of pipe repair and rehabilitation services. The ShieldLiner system has potential applications in the water, sewerage, storm water, oil, gas and mining industries.
