Educational software developer SEQTA has entered into a collaboration agreement with Perth-based consulting company JourneyOne.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate on a software development project, with JourneyOne to provide management, solution design, software development and capability development, while Seqta will invest $2 million in its teacher workflow software platform.

JourneyOne has previously collaborated with businesses of various sizes, from startups to large corporations, to deliver complex projects and architect solutions for clients in a wide range of sectors, including oil and gas, mining and not for profits.

Seqta chief executive Grant Grosser said the partnership model would accelerate development of, and mature, the product.

JourneyOne has an incredible track record in landing projects on time and on budget, and this project will involve them co-locating staff into the Seqta environment,” he said.

JourneyOne co-founder and managing director Chris Benthien said close collaboration with Seqta would allow the company to leverage its business and technology expertise to deliver the product.

“Our start-up mindset and expertise in working with large organisations makes us a natural implementation partner for Seqta to position their product and services for large clients,” he said.

Seqta was last year’s Business News Rising Stars winner.
