Senator talks trade

THE SHADOW Minister for Trade and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Peter Cook will address the WA International Traders’ Club in a luncheon forum entitled Challenges and Opportunities in International Trade in the New Millennium on 16 June.

Senator Cook said he would discuss market opportunities for WA exporters in the context of new relationships with Indonesia, China and ASEAN members.

He said he would also discuss the direction of world trade organisations and the measures the Australian Labor Party would take to promote international trade if it gained power.
