Sector access drives alliance

A CHANCE to target one of the largest business sectors in WA led the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to link with the Family Business Awards.

CCI divisional director membership and marketing Mark Kerrigan said it was a good chance for the chamber to approach and link with a new sector.

“It’s also a chance for us to address a common misconception that the CCI only looks after big business,” he said.

“Eighty per cent of our members are small businesses.

Hambley’s Dewsons owner Graham Hambley has nominated for the Family Business Awards.

The Queens Park supermarket has been in operation for the past 56 years. It was started by Mr Hambley’s father.

Mr Hambley was nominated for the awards by his business banker Graham Smith from Commonwealth Bank.
