On Wednesday August 4 at the Rydges Hotel the Western Australian Chinese Chamber of Commerce is holding a seminar on Second Languages in the Real World – What are the Benefits?
In conjunction with Languages Week the Chamber has invited a panel of guest speakers to discuss the current state of play of second language teaching and learning, to highlight the importance of second languages in Western Australia, and what impact this may have on future job seekers in the global workplace.
Murdoch University senior lecturer at the school of education Dr Lindy Norris will speak about her experiences teaching languages with particular reference to teaching in on-line environments.
Panelists include BJ Design Pty Ltd principal Bruce Jackson, TAFE International WA senior marketing consultant Patricia Bresland, St Norbett’s College languages teacher Alicia Travaglione and former student of a bilingual system in Malaysia Tracey Lim.
Registrations can be made with the WA Chinese Chamber of Commerce for members $5, and non-members $10.
