Searching for best boss

ARE you an employer of choice? Do you have an edge in the recruitment market and the dedicated loyalty of your staff?

If so, you may well be in the running for our quest to find the Best Employers in Western Australia.

This week, we launch the latest in our specially selected awards program which already includes the well-recognised search for young businesspeople in the 40under40, the exciting Family Business Awards and our recent identification of WA’s fastest growing private enterprises, the Rising Stars.

In conjunction with leading research firm Market Equity, WA Business News is looking to celebrate WA’s best employers using the latest in online techniques to survey staff about their workplace.

Not only do top employers have a chance for recognition if they top the table, all entrants will receive a report benchmarking their results against other participants to help identify areas for improvement in human resources management.

To participate, employers will need to promote their involvement to staff who can fill out an easy-to-use 10-minute online form anonymously.

WA Business News director Elton Swarts said these days career-minded employees were far more selective about where they would work, and it was not all about money.

“I see this awards program as a non-threatening tool for employers to review their businesses,” Mr Swarts said.

“Business is a partnership between employers and their employees and we are happy to facilitate that.”

Mr Swarts said he was pleased to have joined forces with Market Equity, a respected marketing company with specialist know-ledge in human resources surveys, to conduct the Best Employers in Western Australia.
