Former Western Power deputy chair Jenny Seabrook has been appointed as a director of Australia Post.
Federal Communications Minister Stephen Conroy said Mrs Seabrook will be joined on the board by the Honourable Trish White.
The appointments fill two vacancies on the board and are for three years.
Mr Conroy said Mrs Seabrook has more than 25 years' experience as a company director.
She has a background in investment banking, capital markets, and as a chartered accountant.
She also has significant State and Federal Government consultancy experience.
Mrs Seabrook is currently a non-executive director for MG Kailis Holding, Iluka Resources, IRESS Market Technology and Bank of Western Australia.
She previously served on the boards of WA Newspaper Holdings, Gresham Advisory Partners, BWA Managed Investment and St Andrew's Superannuation Services.
In April Mrs Seabrook she decided not to stand for re-appointment to the Western Power board after eight years service.
