SeaLink Travel Group will formally change its name to Kelsian Group next week, an anagram the company says represents growth and a nod to its origins.

The name change was approved at the company’s AGM in October 2021.

“The change of our company name better reflects our vision and purpose to be a world leader in delivering essential journeys through safe and intelligent transport solutions and create brilliant customer experiences,” the company said on its website.

Sealink will formally become Kelsian Group effective November 10 and trade under new ticker KLS.

The Adelaide-based travel multinational has enjoyed significant growth over the years but is perhaps best known in WA for its daily ferry trips to Rottnest Island.

The company further cemented its presence in the state after acquiring WA’s Go West Tours and three of its bus depots for $114 million in May this year.

More recently, SeaLink added tourism operator Swan Valley Tours to its portfolio.

SeaLink secured a place as an ASX200 company in September.

Company shares are up 0.067 per cent and to trade at $7.48.
