Business identity Scott Henderson has entered the world of sports, taking up the chief executive post at Netball WA.
Mr Henderson, currently the president of Tourism Council WA, will start with the not-for-profit organisation on August 25.
In a statement, Mr Henderson said he was a keen netball fan with his seven year-old daughter playing her first season this year.
“I am very excited to be joining Netball WA at a time when the sport is growing throughout WA and the region,” said Mr Henderson.
“As the largest female involvement sport, we have a great foundation to continue to grow participation, enjoyment and success of netball in Western Australia.”
Netball WA acting president Robert Shaw said Mr Henderson’s experience would be able to take the sport to the next level.
Mr Henderson’s has previously held chief executive roles at Skywest Airlines and Harvey Beef and was worked for United Airlines and global company Andersen Consulting.
