A FUNDRAISER for imprisoned Australian tourist Schapelle Corby will be held on Sunday May 15 at the Claremont Hotel.
Fundraising activities will include a silent auction, raffle, fashion parade and entertainment.
The event, which starts at 5pm, is being organised by Fremantle gift shop Morrison International where Ms Corby’s cousin, Melissa Younger, is an employee.
According to Morrison, all proceeds from the event will go towards Ms Corby’s legal fees, travel expenses and, it is hoped, her flight home.
Ms Corby, a 27-year-old Gold Coast resident, was arrested eight months ago in Bali, Indonesia, after 4.1kg of high-grade marijuana was found in her luggage by airport officials. She is currently awaiting a verdict from the three judges.
People wishing to help with the event or Ms Corby’s campaign can contact Ms Younger by telephone on 9335 7200 or by email at melissa@morrisonshop.com
