Sanderson chair of indigenous board
LIEUTENANT General John Sanderson will chair the new nine-member Indigenous Implementation Board to advise on indigenous issues. The committee also includes child heath researcher and former Australian of the Year Professor Fiona Stanley (pictured), Broome identity Mark Bin Bakar, better known as Mary G, and WA Local Government Association chief executive Ricky Burges. Other members of the committee include former Rio Tinto executive and state government adviser Brendan Hammond (pictured), who is chief executive of the Australian Children’s Trust. The Trust supported the Australian Employment Covenant, which aims to see the employment of 50,000 indigenous people in Australia in the next decade.
