A REPORT outlining a new approach to help ensure public money is spent countering salinity goes towards protecting high-value public assets has been released.
Environment Minister Judy Edwards said the new approach to resource management – called the Salinity Investment Framework – was about setting priorities according to needs, saving Western Australia’s most important natural assets and getting value for money.
The report that has been released is on phase one of that framework.
Phase two of the project will involve working with the Avon Catchment Council to apply the Salinity Investment Framework at a regional level.
