SRG Global and WBHO Infrastructure have entered a $41.6 million joint venture to deliver the Wanneroo Road and Ocean Reef Road Interchange project.
The 18 month contract was awarded by Main Roads Western Australia with each company allocated a $20.8 million share.
The interchange is aiming to ease congestion at one the busiest intersections in the Perth’s northern metro area, and has an overall cost of $64.8 million.
It will include the construction of bridges, off and on ramps, service relocations, drain enhancements and upgrades to paths and pedestrian crossings.
“The award of this project converts a ‘preferred status’ contract, improving SRG Global’s total work in hand,” he said.
“Further, it underscores the confidence the infrastructure sector places in SRG Global’s ability to deliver on substantial projects.”
The works are funded by the Commonwealth and State Government as part of a $2.3 billion investment in road and rail infrastructure.
Construction group SRG merged with Perth company Global Construction Services in June 2018 and assumed the name SRG Global.
SRG and WBHO were previously awarded a joint venture contract for the Margaret River Perimeter Road project in 2017 worth $22.8 million.
