S&P to remove AWB from all indices

Standard and Poors plans on removing AWB Limited from all of its S&P/ASX indices if a proposed takeover of the company by Agrium is approved.

"Assuming the scheme receives the required approval S&P Indices will remove AWB Limited from the S&P/ASX indices at the close of business on on November 19," S&P said in a statement.

Perth-based gold exploration company Silver Lake Resources will replace AWB Limited in the S&P/ASX All Australian 200.

Resolute Mining will replace AWB in the A&P/ASX 200.
