In a notice to the Australian stock market, Gallagher revealed it had spent $1.9 million buying just over 5.88 million Strike shares through a series of transaction in February and March.
The on-market purchase lifts Gallagher's interest from 15.34 per cent to 19.86 per cent.
Last year, Gallagher pulled the pin on the second $53.4 million tranche of an overall $103 million investment.
At the time, Gallagher said it was due to the continuing uncertainty in the global markets.
The first tranche comprised of Gallagher subscribing for $49.7 million, giving it an interest of 14 per cent.
Shares in Perth-based Strike was down one cent to 32.5c at 13:14 AEDT.
