AT least five large companies in Perth have put together and sponsored teams for this year’s City to Surf run to be held on August 31.
Hollywood Private Hospital will be fielding a team of more than 600 employees to tackle either the 12 kilometre run, 12 kilometre walk or four kilometre walk.
The hospital will be paying half of the entry fee for each of those workers.
Integrated Workforce is understood to be on track for its target of fielding a team of more than 100 employees this year. The company is going to pay the $20 entry fee for each worker.
Minter Ellison has put together a team of 25 employees. The law firm will be part sponsoring each entrant.
Halliburton will be entering a company-funded team of more than 60 people.
Wesfarmers is sponsoring more than 80 employees.
Many of these companies will also be providing their employees with a hat and t-shirt for the event and be setting up marquees at City Beach Oval following the race to hold barbecues for all staff involved.
The fun run is the largest fundraising event run by the Activ Foundation.
Postal entries have closed and online entries close on August 24.
