THE Rotary Club plans to send five people from Perth to Malaysia for a month in January next year. The team members selected will share their specialist business knowledge with the Malaysians and receive an insight into business in our near-north neighbour. This is the 40th anniversary of a Rotary program designed to promote international understanding, peace and goodwill among nations of the world. “Last year one of the team members worked in agriculture and he visited the agricultural regions of Argentina and shared his knowledge,” program coordinator Rebecca Moore said. Next year’s dest-ination is the US. People can apply at their nearest Rotary Club and must be between 25 and 40 years of age, in good health and have been employed for at least two years. The deadline for applications to visit Selangor Province in Malaysia as part of the Group Study Exchange (GSE) program is September 30.
