FOX Resources has appointed Roche Mining Process Engineering to start refurbishment of the Radio Hill processing plant.
Fox managing director Brett Matich said: "Our mining team is confident of identifying sufficient mineable massive sulfide ore at Radio Hill to recommence mining so we have decided to start process plant refurbishment immediately to capitalise on our excellent drilling results and high nickel prices".
The company fully owns the Radio Hill Nickel Sulphide Mine located near Karratha.
It acquired the project in 2002, which includes a 175,000 tonnes per annum nickel processing plant and a fully developed underground mine with a 1.8 kilometre decline to a depth of 280 metres.
