WA-BASED software developer Ripple Systems has been commissioned by its major investor, Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), to develop an Integrated Supervisory Control and Communication System (ISCS).
The system forms part of ST Electronics’ railway command control and communication system.
ST Electronics is a significant capital investor in Ripple Systems.
Ripple Systems chief executive officer Dr Paul Nicholson said the project positioned Ripple Systems as a market leader in the global market for ISCS and intelligent transport systems.
“We are aware of more than 20 mass rapid transport (MRT) network projects coming up over the next 10 years, which will need such mission-critical and very complex software technology,” he said.
“Ripple Systems is extremely well positioned to capture much of this business.”
