Residential demand stays strong

THE Perth property market’s growing appetite for inner city residential developments continues unabated with a spate of new projects planned or underway in West Perth, East Perth, South Perth and the CBD says Colliers Jardine research manger David Cresp.

“West Perth is rapidly emerging as a popular inner city address with plans for several new apartments in 2000,” Mr Cresp said.

Following the success of its luxury developments at 16 Kings Park Road and 2 Colin Street, Central Project management has a new development under way at 2 Outram Street in West Perth.

Australand Holdings Limited has also become an active player in the West Perth residential market with construction at Mayfair due to commence shortly and a further 100 apartments planned for a site at the corner of Walker Avenue and Ord Street.

At the top end of the market is Siena on Colin where thirteen luxury apartments are being developed.

Finbar’s site on Wellington Street next to Harold Boas Gardens is due to start construction during 2000 with the first stage to include forty-eight apartments.
