WESTERN Australia's residential building approvals decreased by 8.4 per cent to 1,760 between October and November.
Building approvals have fallen by 6.4 per cent in the past three months and decreased by 10.8 per cent, on a seasonally adjusted basis, in the 12 months to November 2004.
Across Australia, building approvals decreased by 0.3 per cent to 12,716 between October and November. They have fallen by 5.6 per cent in the past three months and fell by 12.8 per cent through the year to November 2004.

Growth in Retail Sales
SEASONALLY adjusted retail sales (in current prices) in WA increased by 0.8 per cent between October and November. Retail sales have risen by 0.9 per cent in the past 3 months and increased by 6.7 per cent through the year to November 2004.
Nationally, retail turnover increased by 0.1 per cent between October and November. Retail turnover has been flat in the past three months and rose by 1.9 per cent, on a seasonally adjusted basis, in the 12 months to November 2004.
