THE Chinese Medical Foundation of WA wants the WA Government to establish a registration board for Chinese physicians, acupuncturists and herbal medicine dispensers, to ensure quality control.
The CMF says there are 120 traditional Chinese doctors and acupuncturists, treating 130,000 WA clients each year.
It is also confident 95 per cent of the practitioners are genuine and providing professional treatment.
Victoria already has a Chinese Medicine Registration Act, and registered practitioners there must study and train at approved institutions.
